Heart Screening Recap: A Community United for Youth Heart Health
On February 7, 2026, our community came together in a powerful and heartfelt way.
In partnership with the Saving Hearts Foundation and UCLA, Da Vinci hosted a FREE Cardiac Screening for Youth & Young Adults, providing access to preventative heart care for more than 100 youth, student-athletes, and young adults. Each participant took an important step toward protecting their heart health — and potentially their future.
When 1 in 300 young people may be living with an undetected heart condition, access to early screening isn’t just helpful — it’s life-changing.

- 0 confirmed life-threatening conditions
These screenings matter. Early detection provides families with answers, next steps, and peace of mind.
A True Community Effort
What made the day especially powerful was the collaboration behind it.
Families showed up to prioritize their children’s health. Dr. Helga Van Herle, MD, Pediatric Cardiologist, and Dr. Jeffrey Hsu, MD, Cardiologist, generously donated their time and expertise, alongside a dedicated team of medical professionals who ensured every screening was handled with care and precision.
Our LifeLaunch Healthcare students hosted an interactive booth focused on cardiac education, leading engaging, hands-on activities for students and families to help them better understand heart health. In addition, Da Vinci HOSA-Future Health Professionals students provided brief CPR demonstrations, teaching attendees the fundamentals of lifesaving techniques and increasing awareness around emergency response.
Community partners and volunteers stepped in wherever needed, contributing their time, resources, food, and swag to make the experience welcoming and meaningful for every family who walked through the doors.
