A Season of Celebration: Performing Artists Shine Bright

This spring, Da Vinci Schools celebrated an extraordinary season of student performances and artistic achievements.

Under the direction of Theatrical Arts teacher Diane Feldman, the high school musical “GREASE” wrapped up a thrilling six-show, all-sold-out run, earning standing ovations and a nomination for “Best Ensemble or Chorus” at the prestigious 2025 Jerry Herman Awards, dedicated to recognizing achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre in Los Angeles.

We are incredibly proud of our musical theatre cast, crew and staff for this monumental achievement! Our very own GREASE cast members, Daniel Gutierrez (ROGER) and Lailah Kelso (RIZZO), will be performing at the May 4 awards show at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre. Stay tuned next month for an exciting update from this special event!

Meanwhile, DVC, DVD, and DVS students showcased their talents at the spring semester Lunch Open Mics and a DV-wide Open Mic event, filling campus spaces with original music, dynamic covers, and heartfelt spoken word.

To top it all off, Da Vinci’s TK-2 Choir, “Voices of Da Vinci” High School Choir under the direction of Alexi Parachos, and Wiseburn Da Vinci Studio Orchestra under the direction of Toby Harwell, performed at the Wiseburn Education Foundation’s annual Rock Around The Block community festival in collaboration with Wiseburn’s elementary and middle school performers, transforming a rainy morning into a sunlit celebration of community, music, games and fun.

Save the Dates

And the excitement isn’t slowing down as we head toward the end of the school year! We hope you can join us for one or more upcoming events. All events are free and open to the public.

Please note: All performances will take place in the Blackbox Theater with the exception of the WDV Performing Arts Spring Showcase on June 7, which will be held in the WDV Gym. Both locations are at 201 N. Douglas St., El Segundo, CA.
