300 High School Students Volunteer in Wiseburn This Semester
This semester, more than 300 Da Vinci high school students volunteered at Wiseburn school events, sharing their time, talents, spirit, smiles, and hearts. Over the course of the entire year, Da Vinci students stepped up at six different Wiseburn school events, creating lasting memories for younger students and their families across the district. Combined with the more than 225 Da Vinci students who volunteered during the first semester, their contributions have made a powerful impact on our Wiseburn community and beyond.
Twenty five Da Vinci students volunteered at Hollyglen Elementary’s Multicultural Night on April 4. One of the most popular attractions was the vibrant and festive face painting station hosted by Da Vinci students. TK-2 students and families lined up to have their faces adorned with colorful designs, celebrating the rich cultures represented. The joyful smiles and laughter from those proudly displaying their painted designs perfectly captured the spirit of community, creativity, and cultural appreciation that Multicultural Night is all about.

Rain couldn’t dampen the Da Vinci spirit! About 250 high school students showed up in full force to volunteer at the Wiseburn Education Foundation’s annual Rock Around the Block fundraiser on Apr. 26. Throughout the day, Da Vinci students ran game booths, face painting, relay races, and more – helping to create a fun and festive atmosphere for the entire community. A huge shout out to all the teams, clubs and student organizations who brought their best to this incredible community event, including: Esports, Girls Beach Volleyball, Cross Country & Track, Baseball, Archery, Cheer, Boys Volleyball, Swim, Girls Soccer, DVC Latino Student Union, DV Connect BSU, Society of Women Engineers, DVS BSU, Robotics, Team 4201, Youth & Government, and many others who made the day such a success!

Da Vinci students also volunteered at Wiseburn Middle School’s Movie Night, held at Da Vinci, where they led campus tours for WMS students and families and helped create festive goodie bags to make the event even more special.
None of these events would have been possible without the incredible support of our students who generously gave their time to volunteer at Wiseburn schools and community events, making a meaningful difference with their energy, spirit, and dedication.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to the parents and caregivers who helped transport students to and from these volunteer opportunities—your support was essential, and many of these PTA fundraising events simply couldn’t have happened without you.
Finally, we extend our sincere thanks to the school leaders, PTA leaders, educational leaders, and families who warmly welcomed our students and helped create such memorable and meaningful experiences. We are so thankful for each and every one of you!
