Launching into the Future: The Stories of Clair and Antonio

As the inaugural year of LifeLaunch comes to a close, the program’s mission—connecting student potential to real-world opportunities—is best captured through the experiences of its students. From earning industry certifications to logging flight hours, LifeLaunchers are demonstrating how a clear pathway and strong support system can transform what’s possible. As a postsecondary bridge and career development program, LifeLaunch supports young adults transition from high school into stable, meaningful careers and college pathways with intensive wraparound support.

Clair: From High School to Healthcare Professional

A member of the Class of 2025 at Da Vinci Communications, Clair entered LifeLaunch with an interest in medicine but a vague plan for the future.

"I had the image of just going to community college, getting my AA, and then trying to land a job in healthcare," she recalls.

Today, that vision has evolved into a clear and actionable path. Clair has already passed her Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam and currently serves as a Health Clerk Intern at Da Vinci Connect TK–8, where she applies her training in a real-world setting. She is also working toward her Phlebotomist certification, with clinical hours beginning in May and her final exam scheduled for June.

"Now I feel that I have a clearer route of what I’m going to do," she shares. "I feel confident that I will find a job in my desired field in such a short amount of time."

Clair credits LifeLaunch’s individualized coaching as a key factor in her growth. "The support is huge—the staff really care about your success now and in the future. The coaching meetings help you plan your next steps, and they also check in on how you’re doing mentally."

Next year, Clair plans to continue with LifeLaunch: College, pursuing a BA in Healthcare Management through Southern New Hampshire University in partnership with Rivet School.

Antonio: Taking Flight in Aviation

For Antonio, a graduate of the Class of 2025 at Da Vinci Connect High, LifeLaunch provided the technical foundation and real-world experience needed to enter the aerospace industry.

"LifeLaunch provides aviation students with dual enrollment courses from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, covering everything from aircraft systems to airspace and FAA regulations," he explains.

That academic foundation is paired with hands-on experience. "You also get first-hand flight experience through provided flight hours at Sling Pilot Academy," Antonio adds.

The combination of study and flight time has already led to a major milestone: Antonio has earned his FAA Part 107 Drone License. He will continue his journey in Fall 2026 at Cal State Fullerton, where he plans to pursue a LiDAR Acquisition Certification, with the option to continue toward a Bachelor of Science in Drone and Autonomous Systems.

All LifeLaunch opportunities are provided to Da Vinci students at no cost.

Words of Wisdom

As they take their next steps, Clair and Antonio leave behind a roadmap for future LifeLaunch students.

Clair offers this advice for those still finding their way "Lean into your passions. Think about what you enjoy and the steps you can take to turn it into a career. It’s okay to feel unsure—give yourself time to figure out your next steps."

Through the success of students like Clair and Antonio, LifeLaunch continues to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity—one student at a time.
