Celebrating the Power of Partnership in Career Education
One of the pillars of Da Vinci’s Career Education Program is the breadth and depth of the relationships our staff cultivates with industry partners. The strength of these partnerships was on full display at this month's Da Vinci's Annual Industry Partner Dinner, which brought together nearly 100 professionals representing fields such as healthcare, aviation, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, media and marketing, and the arts. These experts support and advise our Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway Coordinators across Da Vinci’s 15 career pathways and the new LifeLaunch College & Career Program.
“It was a great time meeting and learning about the real-world challenges of current entrepreneurs and better understanding the tenacity it takes to be successful,” shared Da Vinci Design Entrepreneurship Pathway Coordinator Dan Centofanti. “I also gained valuable perspective on what we are doing well and what students need to develop to succeed in an entrepreneurship college program.”
As participants built community while breaking bread together, they shared stories of their journeys, reflected on the opportunities that shaped their paths, and discussed how they can help open similar doors for today’s students. “Industry partners were excited to work with Da Vinci because of the incredible career-connected learning opportunities we are offering students,” said LifeLaunch Executive Director Erin D’Souza. “At my table, we all reflected on the fact that none of us had experiences like these when we were in high school. I was particularly grateful to connect with the team from Torrance Memorial Medical Center—we’re looking forward to partnering with TMMC as a clinical placement site for our LifeLaunch pharmacy technicians!”
Da Vinci’s Career Education team is energized and grateful to bring the insights, expertise, and wisdom of our industry partners directly to students through engaging, real-world learning experiences that help them explore and pursue their future career paths.
