Wiseburn Da Vinci Performing Arts: A New Era Takes the Stage
A new school year is bringing exciting opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression at Wiseburn Da Vinci Performing Arts. From the launch of a new CTE Performing Arts Pathway and expanded dual enrollment opportunities to summer programs, seminars and after-school classes, and the upcoming production of Mamma Mia!, students of all ages are finding new ways to explore their passions and develop their talents. With an exciting season of music, theatre, and creative learning ahead, the stage is set for a memorable year!
The Future of Performing Arts
The Wiseburn Da Vinci Performing Arts program is excited to announce the launch of the CTE Performing Arts Pathway! This includes concentrations in Vocal Performance, Theatrical Arts, Instrumental Music, and Technical Theatre. Students have the opportunity to develop foundational skills in vocal technique by participating in the Voices of Da Vinci HS Choir, create stories, art, and entertainment in the Musical Theatre Production as Cast and Crew, and develop instrumental techniques and music literacy in the Da Vinci Studio Orchestra.
Additionally, students in the Theatrical Arts Concentration can now receive Dual Enrollment credit! Our Theatrical Director/TK-12 Theatre Coordinator, Diane, has officially been certified as a Dual Enrollment instructor!
We are excited to see where our programs can go from here!
Creativity Never Takes a Summer Break!
Summer Theatre Playground welcomed 24 TK -2nd graders and Summer Theatre Workshop welcomed 25 3rd-8th graders! From building puppets, to creating original scenes with self-designed props and costumes, to performing musical production numbers, the creativity was fabulous, flowing and fun! As a bonus, our staff was composed of current DV theatre students and DV theatre graduates! Bravo to all who participated!
