Our WDV Wolves are on a roll!
Over the weekend, the WDV Boys Volleyball team secured a spot in the Pioneer League Quarterfinals after defeating Mission Viejo 3-1. We’ll be hosting the Tartans of St. Margaret’s on May 1st at 6:00pm in the WDV Gym at 201 N. Douglas Street. We hope you will come out and support our WDV Wolves in this Quarterfinal matchup. Don't forget to wear blue and purchase your tickets on GoFan!
Additionally, we triumphed in the inaugural WDV Wolves Classic Volleyball Tournament held on April 6 in the WDV Gym, with our very own WDV Boys Volleyball team emerging victorious among the 20 participating teams!!!
We are proud to share that WDV’s Malakai Tu’akoi was selected as one of 20 boys volleyball standouts to join the 2024 U.S. Boys U19 National Team, as announced by USA Volleyball earlier this month. The team will train in Anaheim from May 3-11. During that time, 12 athletes out of the 20 will be selected to represent the United States at the 2024 Boys U19 NORCECA Continental Championship on May 12-20 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. >> Read more
The WDV Boys and Girls Track Teams dominated the Pioneer League Finals, winning the 4x100, 4x400, 100m, 200m, 100H, 300H, and 400m races!!
Our elite Archery Team competed in the Olympic Archery in Schools National Championship over the weekend with 11th grader Jack Trolia winning 1st Varsity Boy in the nation, Dominic Davis won 8th for JV Boys in the nation, and Summer Tsai won 3rd and Chelsea Riddle won 5th place for JV Girls in the nation.
The Girls Softball team, currently ranked 5th in the Pioneer League with a 12-13 overall record, is poised to qualify for the 2024 CIF-SS playoffs. They're close to securing a wildcard berth after winning three games in the competitive Pioneer league, including a notable 6-4 victory against Mira Costa.
We are so proud of all our student-athletes who excel both on and off the field!!
Also this month, Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics celebrated its seniors from the Swim, Boys Volleyball, and Softball teams at their respective Senior Night. Senior Night is a special occasion for athletes where a crowd of loved ones, teammates, coaches, and fans celebrate all they have accomplished in their athletic careers to date. Senior Night takes place at the last home game of the regular season. Congratulations to all the seniors!
