Free Meals Extended Through the 2023-24 School Year for All Students!!

Da Vinci continues to offer Free Breakfast and Lunch for all TK-12th grade students for the current 2023-24 school year through the California Universal Meals Program.  All students in TK-12 may receive breakfast and lunch free of charge, regardless of income status. Paperwork is not required to participate in this program, however the state and federal government each require Da Vinci to report the number of students who qualify for free and reduced meals.

In order to maximize funding for ALL students, families were asked to complete the CA Household Income Data Collection form as part of the "First Day" forms in SchoolMint. The online federal Meal Application is available at No Social Security number is required, and income is tracked in broad windows rather than specific amounts. This information will not be shared or utilized for any other purpose.

Why should I fill out these forms if meals are free of charge?
Based on your circumstances, your family may qualify for P-EBT food benefits, low cost internet access, utilities assistance, fee waivers for college applications, SAT/ACT and Subject Test fee waivers, scholarships, and more! You may be eligible for significant savings!!

Completing both the CA Household Income Data Collection form and the federal Meal Application ensure that Da Vinci is able to maximize state and federal funding and apply for certain programs that support ALL students. Every year Da Vinci leaves hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding on the table because not all eligible families complete a meal application.
