Community Relations

Da Vinci Schools is committed to fostering strong relationships with our neighbors and community partners.

In the local community, Da Vinci Schools is a proud partner of the Wiseburn Unified School District with Da Vinci Schools serving as the "home" high schools for the District. Da Vinci hosts activities for Wiseburn students and others, including a yearly youth Summer Camp and engineering activities for girls in grades 2-8 hosted by the Da Vinci Science Society of Women Engineers. In January 2020, Da Vinci Connect moved from the Aviation Campus to the Del Aire Campus. Da Vinci Connect offers kindergarten through 8th grade families a unique learning model that combines homeschool and on campus instruction using project-based and social emotional learning. Da Vinci Connect’s enrollment will not exceed 250 students on the Del Aire Campus on any given day. Both Wiseburn and Da Vinci are committed to keeping enrollment numbers low and minimizing traffic congestion on and around the Del Aire Campus.

Da Vinci is fully committed to preparing students for college, career and life. Da Vinci Schools has many longstanding relationships with community partners who define the knowledge and skill sets needed for college and 21st century jobs. These professional partners co-develop projects, host workplace tours, provide skills-based internships, mentor students, serve on advisory boards, provide direct funding, and much more.

We have come a long way since Da Vinci Schools opened in 2009. Dr. David Brown, the former Executive Director of the WASC Accrediting Commission for Schools, says "Da Vinci Schools are among the very finest I've seen." Dr. Vince Bertram, the president and CEO of Project Lead The Way, has called Da Vinci a "global model for STEM education."  On March 5-8, 2020, we are excited to host the FIRST Robotics Competition Los Angeles Regional.

We couldn't do any of this without the support and commitment of the Wiseburn Unified School District and its Board of Trustees.

As a valued neighbor, we hope you share in our pride for all Wiseburn and Da Vinci schools that are providing a world-class education for the 21st century. We are enormously proud of the teaching and learning taking place at all of our schools.
