Da Vinci Summer Camp Canceled Due to Coronavirus

(April 14, 2020) -- Due to the ongoing concerns about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Da Vinci Schools is canceling its 2020 youth summer camp programs. The health and safety of our camp participants and their families, Da Vinci student mentors, and staff is our highest priority. Da Vinci Summer Camp was originally scheduled to take place June 15-19 and June 22-26 at the 201 N. Douglas Street campus.

Summer Camp is a tradition at Da Vinci Schools, and we look forward to new opportunities to create friendships and provide hands-on experiences for children in future years. Da Vinci's low summer camp registration numbers due to coronavirus uncertainty, coupled with the additional time needed to plan for summer school for our currently enrolled students who need to recover credit, has compelled us to make this difficult decision. (Our team is still collaborating on what summer school may look like this year -- in-person, virtual or a combination of both. Communication about summer school will be shared soon.)

All 2020 summer camp registration payments will be refunded in full in the coming days. If you have not received a refund by April 24, please reach out to Carla Levenson, Director of External Relations, at clevenson@davincischools.org.

We understand that many families depend on summer camp activities for childcare. We hope to provide resources of other summer camps programs that may be operating as we become aware of them.

We will miss you this summer but look forward to seeing you on our campuses soon! It is our sincerest wish to offer an exciting summer camp program in 2021.

Be safe and stay healthy.
