All Da Vinci Schools Earn Top WASC Accreditation Status
We are thrilled to share that all Da Vinci Schools—Da Vinci Communications, Da Vinci Connect, Da Vinci Design, Da Vinci RISE, and Da Vinci Science—have earned the highest level of accreditation: a full six-year term from the WASC Accrediting Commission for Schools.
This exceptional achievement affirms the strength, integrity, and effectiveness of our educational programs across all Da Vinci schools. It also reflects Da Vinci’s unwavering commitment to delivering a high-quality, student-centered education that empowers every learner for long-term success in college, career and life.
WASC accreditation is a voluntary process through which schools demonstrate that they meet rigorous standards of educational quality and excellence. This well-respected accreditation can impact important factors such as credit transferability, eligibility for federal financial aid, and overall institutional credibility.
All Da Vinci schools underwent a rigorous evaluation process that included a comprehensive self-study, peer review, and the successful completion of an on-site, three-day accreditation visit by a team of experienced educators.
“We are incredibly proud of all Da Vinci Schools for earning the highest level of accreditation,” said Dr. Matthew Wunder, Da Vinci’s CEO/Superintendent. “This collective achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication, hard work, and excellence of our staff, faculty, and student leaders across all of our schools. I want to especially recognize all of our Da Vinci principals for their tireless efforts in leading the WASC accreditation process as well as Michelle Rainey, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Their leadership—and the commitment of our entire community—ensures the continued strength and impact of our programs and services.”
The WASC visiting team members identified many strengths at Da Vinci Schools, including strong school cultures rooted in trust, respect and inclusiveness, project-based and real-world learning experiences that engage students and prepare them for post-secondary success, and staff who genuinely care about all learners.
We are grateful to our students, families, educators, board members, and partners who continue to make Da Vinci a place where belonging, student success, and innovation thrive.
