March in Action: Energy, Innovation, and Community
From Exhibition Nights to robotics, esports, archery, STEAM Carnival, Community Aviation Day, and more, it’s been a full month of students bringing their learning to life across Da Vinci Schools.
Da Vinci Students Shine at Exhibition Nights Across TK–12 Schools
We are so proud of our TK–12 students for showcasing their learning and growth during Exhibition Nights held this month at Da Vinci Communications, Da Vinci Design, Da Vinci Connect TK–8, and Da Vinci Science.
A cornerstone of our project-based learning approach, these events give students the opportunity to publicly present interdisciplinary projects to families, peers, and community members. More than a showcase, Exhibition Nights serve as authentic assessments—allowing students to demonstrate real-world skills, reflect on their learning, and take pride in their accomplishments.
Da Vinci Hosts 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition LA District Qualifier
On March 21–22, Da Vinci Schools and Team 4201: The Vitruvian Bots hosted the FIRST Robotics LA District Qualifier, bringing together 1,300+ students and 42 life-sized robots for a high-energy STEM competition.
Students from all Da Vinci high schools joined forces to compete as one unified team. Attendees enjoyed pit tours, meeting the teams, and cheering on Team 4201 as they demonstrated their passion for robotics and collaboration.
Competing as one unified team, Da Vinci’s robot, Threepeater, went 10–1, ranked third, and advanced to the finals. Team 4201 also earned FIRST’s highest honor—the Impact Award. > View the Impact video
The event was powered by students, mentors, and volunteers who filled 220 roles across the weekend. Congratulations, Team 4201, and thank you to EVERYONE who made the competition and weekend a success!
Battle of the South Bay: WDV Esports Shines
On March 24, the Wiseburn Da Vinci Esports program made history by hosting the first-ever in-person Esports competition against other schools held on our campus. In collaboration with Lollipop Labs, the WDV Esports coaches created an amazing experience for the greater South Bay Los Angeles community.
Over 100 students packed the Black Box for the Battle of the South Bay ESports Championships!
- Middle School: Adams MS (Redondo) took the win, while WDV raised nearly $1,000 through concessions.
- High School Super Smash Bros.: Team A (Ben Alonso & Solomon Cannad) swept El Segundo and claimed the title, $1,000, and new gaming gear. Team B (Makoa Burruel & Brandon Ceron) were runners-up in an all-WDV final.
👏 Congrats to our champions and huge thanks to everyone who came out to support—including Team 4201!
WDV Archery Hosts LA Regionals
The WDV Archery Team hosted its first LA regional event on March 14th, with about 70 archers from three different high schools competing. The team performed exceptionally well, WDV Archery qualified to compete in the Olympic Archery in Schools California State Championships held at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Facility on April 4, 2026.

Soaring to New Heights: Da Vinci’s 3rd Annual Community Aviation Day
Da Vinci's Third Annual Community Aviation Day was back this year, soaring higher than ever! We welcomed hundreds of families from the community to explore their passion for aviation and aerospace, connect with local professionals, and try some hands-on activities like flight simulators, drone courses, rocket building, and VR aviation training. Attendees also met military personnel and industry professionals, gaining insider insights into aviation careers.
Space Force Delta 8 hosted a rocket building STEM activity where students were able to design, build, and test their rockets out in the field with Space Force cadets. American Airlines brought their VR training headsets where students could have an opportunity to practice aviation mechanic skills without having to step onto the tarmac.
Community Aviation Day brought together 40 unique table hosts ranging from colleges, flight schools, aviation and aerospace industries, all the branches of the military, social organizations, Da Vinci student clubs, and philanthropic organizations. Da Vinci Connect High School and LifeLaunch were also on hand to showcase their aviation programs for high school and adult learners.

Turning Compassion Into Action: Da Vinci Partners with Foster Love
At Da Vinci Schools, we believe community is most powerful when it shows up in tangible ways for young people who deserve dignity, joy, and belonging. That is why our recent partnership with Foster Love at the Rotary service event hosted on our Da Vinci campus was so meaningful. Foster Love, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care, has built its mission around providing essentials, meaningful experiences, and pathways of hope for foster youth across the country. Their work includes programs like Sweet Cases, bike builds, skateboards, scholarships, and other supports designed to remind young people that they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for.
At this special event, Rotarians, community members, and partners came together with Foster Love to turn compassion into action. The result was extraordinary: 100 duffle bags assembled with essential and comfort items for youth, along with 20 bicycles and 20 skateboards that will go directly to foster youth in our community. The event reflected exactly what is possible when service organizations, schools, and nonprofit partners align around a shared purpose. Rotary’s event description captured this spirit well, naming both the practical need and the deeper human impact of providing youth with belongings they can carry with dignity, as well as bikes and skateboards that offer mobility, independence, and joy.
We’re grateful to Foster Love for helping transform our campus into a place of generosity and hope. Our students and families deserve to see care in action, not just words. We’re proud to stand with Foster Love and Rotary in this effort, and proud that Da Vinci Schools hosted a day of service that will make a real difference for foster youth.
