Families & Friends Celebrate Da Vinci’s Class of 2025
Earlier this month, family and friends gathered in celebration as Da Vinci Schools hosted six graduation ceremonies and an 8th grade promotion. More than 7,500 attendees came to honor 569 graduating seniors from Da Vinci Communications, Connect, Design, FUTURES, RISE, and Science, along with 66 8th grade students from Da Vinci Connect who participated in their own promotion ceremony. Wiseburn Middle School also celebrated its 8th grade graduates in a separate event held in the WDV Gym.
Each ceremony was filled with pride, joy, and excitement. Student speakers delivered heartfelt and eloquent reflections on their journeys at Da Vinci, sharing stories of growth, discovery, and resilience. Many spoke about the strong sense of care and support they experienced, and how that sense of connection empowered them to step outside their comfort zones.
The speeches highlighted powerful themes—personal transformation, lifelong friendships, stepping into adulthood, and pursuing passion and purpose. Students also reflected on overcoming challenges, the impact of re-emerging from the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current fears within their communities amid recent immigration raids.
One particularly moving address came from Da Vinci Communications graduate Sophia Alexander, who will be attending Stanford University in the fall. She spoke eloquently about the importance of finding one’s purpose and passion, stating: “Purpose will ground you when life becomes uncertain, it will guide you when your path forward seems unclear and unknown, and it will ignite you when your voice feels small and unheard.”
These authentic voices made each commencement not only a celebration, but a moving tribute to the strength and spirit of the Da Vinci community.
