Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics: Fall Sports Update and Winter Sports Kick Off!
Thank you to our student-athletes, families, coaches, and supporters for an incredible fall season! Your dedication, teamwork, and school spirit have made this season one to remember. Here’s a look at what our teams have been up to!
🏐 Girls Volleyball
Our Girls Volleyball team wrapped up their season 4th in the Pioneer League with a 16-14 overall record. These athletes fought hard every single match, competing with heart and resilience all season long. We’re so proud of the effort and teamwork they showed on the court. Thank you, players and families, for a great season!

🏈 Girls Flag Football
What a debut! Girls Flag Football finished strong in their very first season in the CIF Southern Section. It was a season of huge growth, excitement, and determination as this team helped build a brand-new program from the ground up.
Senior Night was a huge success, with the team taking on Vistamar and winning 31-6! Congratulations to our seniors for leading the way and leaving a lasting mark on this program. Here’s to many more seasons to come!

🏐 Boys Beach Volleyball
Boys Beach Volleyball had a great season! We saw our biggest tryout turnout ever, and the team built strong pairings across all levels.
Boys Varsity made it all the way to the semifinal round of the AAU High School Pairs Varsity division at El Camino College! Next up, the team heads to San Diego on Saturday, October 24 for the CBVA Annual SD Halloween Classic (16U/18U). Great job, boys, and good luck this weekend!

🏃 Cross Country
Cross Country has been on the hunt all season long, showing up and giving their all at every meet. On Saturday, October 17, the team turned in a dominant performance at the 39th Annual Bell Gardens Invitational at the Autry Museum course, racking up seven personal bests (PBs) across all divisions.
Hernandez Breaks School Record for the 3rd Time
Senior Christopher Hernandez led the charge in the Men’s 3-Mile Varsity race, placing 7th overall with an incredible time of 15:17.6 (PB). He cut more than 11 seconds off his previous seed of 15:28.8 and broke the Wiseburn Da Vinci school record for the third time this season, all against premier Southern Section competition.
Varsity & Sophomore Highlights
The varsity boys packed up tightly behind Hernandez. Hudson Pandey broke the 17-minute barrier with a 16:56.7 (PB), and sophomore Liam Chappell cut nearly 19 seconds off his seed to finish in 17:01.1 (PB). In the Women’s Sophomore race, Jessie Munoz earned a top-20 medal, finishing 16th in 22:55.5 (PB).
