Summer in Wiseburn 2026: A Season of Skill Building, Creativity & Fun
What A Summer It's Been!
More than 625 students joined us for a season filled with creativity, discovery, friendship, and fun through Summer in Wiseburn.
From LEGO Robotics and Ceramics to Performing Arts, Debate, Youth Athletics & Fun, High School Athletics Training, and so much more, students in grades TK–12 explored new interests, built skills, stayed active, and made lasting memories.
These outstanding summer experiences were made possible through the continued partnership of Da Vinci Schools, Wiseburn USD, Da Vinci Schools Fund, and Wiseburn Education Foundation, and proudly took place on our state-of-the-art high school campus in El Segundo.
Summer Enrichment Camps (Grades TK–9)
Six Enrichment Camps welcomed 296 students to explore new interests, stretch their creativity, and make new friends.
- Art Camp mixed ceramics, painting, cartooning, printmaking and more!
- FRC Team 4201: The Vitruvian Bots hosted their annual LEGO Robotics Camp. Campers in grades 2-9 designed and built LEGO robots in their own teams in preparation for friendly competition at the end of each week. Campers had an amazing time and gained valuable STEAM experience!
- Ceramics Camp introduced campers to hand-building, coil work, and even some time on the pottery wheel!
- Performing Arts campers shined in Under the Sea (grades TK-2) and From Page to Stage: Musicals Inspired by Literature (grades 3-8) performance parlours! From theatre games and vocal warm-ups, to dance, rehearsals and creative projects, students were brave, creative, and loving collaborators throughout both sessions!
- Board Game Camp introduced students to strategic thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills through classic games such as Chess, Battleship, and Risk.
- Debate Camp helped students develop public speaking, leadership, and critical thinking skills through interactive simulations, including a mock trial featuring the fictional Wicked characters Elphaba and Glinda. Campers built confidence in persuasive speaking, collaboration, and civic engagement in a fun, supportive environment.
Youth & High School Athletics Camps
Now in its third year, the Wiseburn + Da Vinci Athletics Camps welcomed 330 students, including 115 participants in the Youth Athletics & Fun Camp (grades 3–8) and 215 student-athletes in High School Athletics Training.
At the Youth Athletics & Fun Camp, students rotated through soccer, basketball, and volleyball, with plenty of time for fun activities like painting, arts and crafts, board games, and more. Fun Fridays brought extra excitement with relay races, dodgeball, kickball, and other high-energy games.
Camp wasn't just about staying active—it was about building friendships, trying new activities, and having fun. Here are a few favorite moments in the students' own words:

Debbie Evans, Program Manager for the Summer in Wiseburn Youth Athletics & Fun Camp, shared, "It has been a joy getting to know our incredible campers, watching them make new friends, play games, create amazing art, and grow throughout the summer. For older students, the High School Athletic Training Camps focused on strength, skill development, and team culture, all led by WDV Athletics coaches. Student-athletes of all levels—whether building fundamentals or preparing for competitive play in soccer, volleyball, basketball, archery, softball/baseball, or running club—trained together, developed as players, and built lasting connections with teammates and coaches.
"My favorite thing about camp was learning from really fun instructors. This is the first camp I've truly loved instead of just liked. I definitely recommend trying archery—it's a really calming sport."
Flexible, affordable, and open to our broader community, the Wiseburn + Da Vinci Athletics Camps continue to provide one of the South Bay's best opportunities for young people to stay active, build confidence, and have fun all summer long.
