Chris Mason began his professional art career in 1981 as an apprentice storyboard artist at Filmation Animation Studios, later moving on to various TV and film production jobs doing storyboards, costume & production design, special effects, writing, producing, directing and occasionally bad acting! He has worked on many notable film and TV projects in various capacities. He was head of the screening department for seven seasons on America’s Funniest Home Videos (AFHV). In 2003, Chris became an AIA (Adventures in Art) docent teaching art projects to elementary and middle schools, serving two years as AIA chairman along the way. In 2012, Chris began teaching art at Da Vinci K-8, and in 2021 teaching art to the high school students online and continues to teach private art lessons as well. Chris continues to occasionally do freelance TV & film production work, but in recent years has concentrated primarily on commissioned art and having his canvas paintings displayed in gallery shows. Chris is the artist responsible for many of the murals around the Connect TK-8 campus!
