Introducing The Levitt Lab at Da Vinci Connect
Da Vinci Schools is excited to announce the launch of The Levitt Lab at Da Vinci Connect powered by ASU Prep, opening in August 2026. We are currently enrolling incoming 9th graders for the 2026–27 school year.
This innovative program, developed in collaboration with economist and Freakonomics author Steven Levitt and Arizona State University, will offer students hands-on, inquiry-driven learning experiences. The Levitt Lab will be located on the campus of Da Vinci Connect High School at 550 Continental Blvd., El Segundo.
"The Levitt Lab is my way of re-imagining school. Here, students won't just memorize answers—they'll ask the big questions. They'll explore, create, connect, and innovate in ways that inspire them to keep learning long after the school day ends," said Levitt.
The program blends on-campus and flexible learning, with four days in person and one flexible learning day each week (Wednesday). Key components include:
- The Core — personalized learning tailored to each student’s pace and goals
- Socratic Seminars & Wonder Sessions — discussion-based and hands-on curiosity-sparking experiences
- Dual Enrollment — earn up to 40 ASU college credits while completing A-G course requirements for UC and Cal State eligibility
- In-Depth Explorations — student-led passion projects shared with peers and the community
- Da Vinci Signature Practices — Exhibitions, Advisory, athletics, arts, clubs, robotics, dances, and more
