Spring is Alive with Creativity in WDV Performing Arts
One of our biggest productions of the year, Into the Woods, opens this week—launching a semester filled with performances, concerts, showcases, and student-led events across all Da Vinci schools.
From lunch-time Open Mics to major stage productions, students are stepping into the spotlight, building confidence, and bringing our community together through the power of live performance.

🌲 Into the Woods Opens This Week!
Once upon a time…80 students from across six Da Vinci Schools were working creatively, collaboratively and joyfully to bring a story to life. In this story (that will both enchant you and challenge you to self-reflect) fairytales collide, wishes are granted, and happily-ever-after comes with consequences. Spend a few hours in our forest (Blackbox) filled with magic, mystery, and moral twists as we bring this clever, complex, humorous, and moving Tony-Award-winning Broadway Musical with music and lyrics by the celebrated, Stephen Sondheim, and a book by the brilliant, James Lapine, to life.

🎤 Open Mics Are Back!
Dust off those vocals cords—Open Mics are back!
After a Fall ‘25 semester that featured monthly Wednesday Lunch Open Mics at Da Vinci Communications, Design, and Science, we're continuing the momentum this spring:
- DVD – 1st Wednesday
- DVC – 2nd Wednesdays
- DVS – 3rd Wednesdays
Open Mics provide an easy, low-stakes performance opportunity for students who may be nervous or are new to performing. The lively and supportive crowds always give a boost to the performers and provide a nice, welcoming environment by fostering community and positivity within each school. Another cool element about our Open Mics is that they are also all student-run events (from set-up to breakdown), giving our students real, live-event coordination opportunities!

The first-ever Connect High Open Mic — co-sponsored by Voices of Da Vinci High School Choir — is coming soon. We’re also expanding Open Mics to additional campuses. Stay tuned!
