Supporting the Health & Wellness of All Students
We are committed to supporting the health and wellness of all students at Da Vinci Schools. We know that when students feel supported socially and emotionally, they are better able to thrive academically and personally. We want to share the resources available to you and your family—both on our campuses and through our community partners—as well as new opportunities through the California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).
Mental Health Resources at Da Vinci
- Every student has access to school counselors for wellness check-ins, support, and guidance.
- Many campuses also offer therapy groups or one-on-one sessions with school-based clinicians.
- Together, families and counselors can review the best support options for your student.
All resources are listed on our website: Mental Health Resources | Da Vinci Schools.
CYBHI: Expanded Services for Students
The California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) expands access to no-cost mental health services for students under 26. With your consent, Da Vinci Schools can bill insurance providers (including Medi-Cal and private plans) so that our schools can continue to grow these supports.
- There are no co-pays, deductibles, or costs to families.
- Insurance coverage is not impacted.
- Families provided consent and insurance information during the re-enrollment or registration process to help sustain these services.
For more information, please reach out to your school counselor or administrator, or visit CYBHI.

McKinney-Vento Resources & Supports
We also want to remind families of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, which ensures educational rights and protections for students experiencing housing instability. If you are sharing housing due to economic hardship, the loss of housing, or a similar reason or living in a motel, hotel or trailer park, emergency or transitional shelter, campground, or vehicle, then you may be eligible for certain educational rights and service.
Students who qualify for McKinney-Vento supports may receive:
- Immediate enrollment, even without typical enrollment documents.
- Free school meals.
- Support with school supplies, transportation assistance, and extracurricular participation.
- Priority access to counseling, wellness, and community services.
- A dedicated school counselor or liaison to check in and ensure your family’s needs are met.
If you believe your family may qualify or would like to learn more, please connect with your school counselor. All information shared is confidential, and the goal is to ensure every student has what they need to succeed.
We are thrilled to bring these important resources to our Da Vinci community and we believe that access to mental health support is a crucial part of creating a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students’ well-being.
