Beatriz Borroel joined Da Vinci Schools in 2019, where she taught mathematics at Da Vinci Communications for six years. Most recently, she taught Geometry and an Algebra Lab course linked to Algebra 1. This specialized course was developed to support students in strengthening their foundational math skills while rebuilding their academic confidence and identity. Throughout her career, Beatriz has been deeply committed to implementing equitable teaching practices, including differentiated instruction, collaborative learning, and real-world applications to enhance student engagement and retention. This year, she is looking forward to another exciting school year as she transitions into a new role as an Administrative Services Manager at LifeLaunch.
Prior to joining Da Vinci, Beatriz taught middle school mathematics at St. Vincent School in Los Angeles for seven years.Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, she relocated to a small town near Bakersfield, California, at the age of 10. Following her high school graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science. She later earned a Master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Mount Saint Mary’s University.
With over a decade of experience in education, Beatriz remains passionate about supporting students in achieving their lifelong goals. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young sons, ages 5 and 3. She is proud to continue being part of the Da Vinci community and is inspired daily by its exceptional students and staff.
