Cristina Medina is the Work Experience Teacher at Da Vinci Schools. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Cristina received her undergraduate degree in English Language Arts and Literature from Seattle Pacific University. She made Los Angeles her home and began her teaching career as an advisor at a Big Picture school and later as a middle school English teacher.
Cristina stepped away from the classroom temporarily to focus on her writing, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry and publishing some of her work in Los Angeles Review and North American Review.
During this time, Cristina worked in non-profit education, launching financial literacy programs across the country and connecting students to career opportunities in finance. She found a true passion for career readiness and advocating for skills young people need to thrive as adults.
