WDV Athletics Kick-Off to the 2025-26 Season
The 2025–26 school year is off to a strong start, and our student-athletes are already making their mark. From tournaments to tryouts to the launch of new programs, August has been full of energy and excitement for WDV Athletics!
We had a fantastic All Coaches Meeting this month in preparation to best support our Wiseburn Da Vinci student athletes!
🏐 Girls Volleyball
- Members of our team traveled to Hawaii to compete in the Sacred Heart Tournament. They worked hard, supported one another, and played with heart while representing WDV on the court.
- Girls Volleyball opened the season with a home game against Venice High School and are looking to forward to a competitive 2025-26 season.
🐺 Cheer
- Cheer has been working hard all summer long to prepare for a brand new season. New coaches Aliyah Gardea (Varisty) and Juliet McLaurin (JV) said they have seen immense progress in all the girls. This year will focus on expanding their cheer knowledge, strengthening bonds and building confidence in stunting.
- Look for the team getting the crowd hyped during all WDV Athletics events!
👟 Cross Country
- Tryouts were held this month with an outstanding turnout. Our runners brought their best efforts. Varsity head Coach Daire will announce final rosters soon.
- The first meet will be Saturday, September 27!
🏐 Boys Beach Volleyball
- Tryouts are complete, and the team is preparing for another strong season out on the sand. Coach Kim has high hopes for a repeat of last year’s success!
🏈 Girls Flag Football

- We’re proud to announce the launch of Girls Flag Football as a brand-new program under the WDV Athletics banner! More details about this inaugural season will be shared at the information night on September 3.
Remember all student-athletes are required to have current sports physicals completed and uploaded to Home Campus prior to tryouts for all sports teams. For more information on how to submit: https://athletics.davincischools.org/tryouts/
