
HOW YOU CAN HELP: Accepting food donations this week for wildfire victims, volunteers and first responders
Dear Da Vinci Families, Staff and Friends,
As a reminder, Da Vinci is accepting food donations this week (Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 15-17, 2025) from 8:00-10:00AM to provide support for wildfire victims, volunteers and first responders. Please feel free to either purchase prepared food or provide homemade options.
Da Vinci is partnering with two local community organizations – Pass It Forward and Impact LA. The meals will be picked up each day at 10:00AM by Pass It Forward to be delivered to the Pasadena and Altadena areas affected by the wildfires.
Donating Sack Lunches
Please consider purchasing prepared food or making your own sack lunches that are easy-to-carry and slow-to-perish such as:
- Sandwiches with turkey, chicken, PB&J, vegetarian/vegan options especially needed, etc., no condiments please (butter, mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc.) – please label your bags with description of the main food item
- Fruit and/or veggies
- Non-perishable snacks (chips, cookies, granola bars, pretzels, jerky, etc.)
- Bottled water
- We encourage you to decorate your bags and include a personal note
- Additional packaged snacks also are appreciated

(Please follow the instructions of our safety officers and grounds supervisors who will guide you to the drop-off area where students and staff will help you unload. If you are only dropping off food, we recommend you come between 9:00-10:00AM to avoid student drop-off.)
