Michelle Rainey has spent the past two decades cultivating responsive schools in Southern California as a teacher, department chair, instructional coach, Assistant Principal and Principal. She joined Da Vinci Schools in 2009 as a founding teacher and is now the Executive Director (and a mom) at Da Vinci Connect TK-College. Her current work includes continuing the work of Connect’s TK-8 hybrid model while expanding the program to include grades 9-12, an early college experience and competency-based learning. She is inspired daily by students, families and staff who create rich and meaningful ways for parents and teachers to co-educate their children using instruction that prepares students for a life of curiosity and learning. Michelle earned her B.A. in English and Master’s in Education from UCLA, completed her National Board Certification and is currently earning her Doctorate of Education in UCLA’s Educational Leadership Program.
