Mario Sazo is a travelling Social Studies Teacher for Da Vinci RISE High. Mario studied Government and International Relations at San Francisco State University before attending St. Mary’s College of California to earn a teaching credential in Social Studies.
Mario grew up in San Francisco around teachers his entire life- both of Mario’s parents taught and work in schools to this day. He became a teacher because of those influences but also, because he believes that students can be and are the true difference makers in society. His goal as a teacher is to empower his students through learning about their own history.
When Mario is not working on my lesson plans, he enjoys cooking, reading and learning about history, playing sports and video games and spending time hiking with his dog and partner.
