Kevin Kim is a South Bay native whose least favorite high school subject, believe it or not, was history. He used to think, “Who cares about the past?” It wasn’t until he found Ethnic Studies at UC San Diego that he realized history has everything to do with understanding our world and building a better future.
Now with a master’s in teaching from USC, Kevin is deeply passionate about empowering students through history to think critically, discover their own agency, and lead with empathy.
When he’s off the clock, Kevin is usually spending time with his wife and son, playing basketball, dominating escape rooms, collecting Lorcana cards, traveling, and rooting for LA sports and the Marvel universe.
