Brenda (she/her) has been a public school educator since 2016. Her favorite thing about teaching is facilitating student discovery in the classroom and observing students demonstrate their learning and explain their thinking. Her background before teaching was working with independent restaurant owners and chefs, which fostered a life-long appreciation for culinary arts and the entrepreneurial spirit. She is a Southern California native that loves exploring her home state and is always delighted to find new gems and coffee shops. To ground herself, she spends time with her two kids, walks her small dog Saffron, starts new crafts and finds ways to get active.
