Brenda Kao (she/her) has been a public school educator since 2016. Her favorite thing about teaching is facilitating student discovery in the classroom and observing students demonstrate their learning and growth. Occasionally, you can catch her teaching a yoga class as she has her RYT 200. Her background before teaching was working with independent restaurant owners and chefs, which fostered a life-long appreciation for culinary arts and the entrepreneurial spirit. She is a Southern California native and outside of teaching is surviving parenthood with her family of 2 kiddos, 2 pups (Saffron and Sesame), kitty (Auggie). She balances her life by going camping, hiking or climbing.
