WDV Athletics: August Update

What an exciting start to the 2026–27 school year! Our student-athletes have jumped right into competition, challenged themselves, and represented our school with pride. From championship performances to historic firsts, the hard work and determination that make our Wolves so special is already on display.

Our fall teams are finding their rhythm, our winter and spring programs are getting ready to launch, and our entire athletics community is building momentum for an incredible year. We’re proud of our student-athletes and coaches, and we can’t wait to see what this season has in store.

🏐 Girls Volleyball
Girls Volleyball opened its season with a 6–3 start and brought home the championship title in the Silver Bracket at the Bishop Diego Tournament. Pioneer League play begins soon against North!

🏈 Girls Flag Football
History was made as WDV Girls Flag Football hosted its first-ever CIF-SS Pioneer League home game, celebrating the milestone with a 12–6 victory over North Torrance. This inaugural season is just getting started, and our girls are ready to compete, grow, and show the rest of the league that WDV is here to win.

🏃‍♀️ Cross Country
Cross Country hit the course for its first meet at Mt. San Antonio College, and the team continues to build strength, endurance, and confidence with every mile. We’re excited to watch this group grow throughout the season.

🏖️ Boys Beach Volleyball
The sand is calling! Boys Beach Volleyball is set to open league play. Good luck, Wolves!

🏀 Boys Basketball
Boys Basketball is wrapping up tryouts, and we’re excited to see the team take shape as they prepare for the season ahead.

Every practice, every competition, and every challenge is a chance to learn, improve, and represent WDV with pride.
