Marley Garcia is a Core 3 teacher at Da Vinci Connect TK-8 and is excited to join such an incredible community of students and families. A Los Angeles native and San Pedro resident, Marley is passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to learn through project-based learning, collaboration, and hands-on experiences. She also values building strong partnerships with families through open communication.
With a lifelong background in musical theater, Marley enjoys incorporating the arts into her instruction and previously served as the lead costume designer for productions of Shrek and Newsies. She earned an A.A. in Liberal Studies from El Camino College and a B.A. in Liberal Studies, with a specialization in theater education, from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She recently earned her Master’s in Education from Alder Graduate School of Education. Outside of the classroom, Marley enjoys yoga, traveling, live theater, painting, and spending time with her two cats, Bonnie and Baby.
