Manda Nguyen teaches Geometry at Da Vinci Communications. She is a Torrance native who has a passion for helping others find excitement and joy in their learning endeavors. Manda earned her B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine and Master’s degree in Education from Alder Graduate School of Education. In between, she helped integrate the IB Programme citywide in Daegu, South Korea, while teaching English as a Second Language to students across the district. After returning to America in 2024, she provided high-dose math tutoring to underserved communities, renewing her interest in math education and how it can be reimagined to better equitably develop students’ confidence and skills such as problem-solving and collaboration. Outside of school, Manda enjoys eating her way around the world, weightlifting, playing taiko (Japanese drumming), and spending time with friends and family.
