From exciting tournament performances to standout individual achievements, our student-athletes are showing what it truly means to compete as a Wolf with resilience, teamwork, and an unshakable drive to grow.
The gym has been electric, the sidelines full of school spirit, and our athletes continue to demonstrate leadership both on and off the court. With major tournaments underway and tough competition ahead, this season is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet.
We’re incredibly proud of our players, coaches, and families who give their all to support Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics. Let’s keep the momentum going as we cheer on our Wolves through the holiday tournaments and into the heart of winter competition.
Go Wolves! 🐾💙
🏐 Girls Volleyball
- The Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Volleyball team had an impressive run after their official league season ended. The Varsity team earned an At Large bid into the CIF Southern Section Division 6 playoff brackets and battled through every round, traveling as far as Santa Barbara to compete. They earned a spot in the Championship finals, and despite an overwhelming boisterous crowd, claimed the championship crown against home team favorite Arrowhead Christian Academy in Redlands.
This is the first CIF-SS championship win for the Girls Volleyball program and the first for any Girls sports team at Wiseburn Da Vinci. After their historic win, the Varsity team continued to the State Regional playoff level to play Frontier High School in Bakersfield. Traveling over 680 miles, fatigue, injuries and illness started to take their toll and the Varsity team lost this playoff match. But this loss did not dissuade the team from realizing that they reached their goal of the CIF-SS championship. They will be ready to go farther and higher next season.
🏀 Girls Basketball
The Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Basketball team opened their season with an inspiring performance, highlighted by All-Tournament honors earned by Kayla and Adori. After a tough opening 3–1 loss, the team responded with three straight wins, showing outstanding growth, resilience, and chemistry on the court. Adori played a crucial role in both assists and defensive pressure, while Kayla delivered a strong all-around performance, contributing points, rebounds, and assists to help drive the Wolves’ momentum.
Coaches Duane and T shared that once the opening-night jitters faded, the team settled into beautiful basketball, making them incredibly proud of both the individual efforts and the collective team play. The Wolves now look ahead to the Downey Girls High School Basketball Classic Tournament, where they will compete over the next three days November 24th, 25th, and 26th.
WDV will take on top regional programs including King Drew, Crean Lutheran, and Lakewood. With such strong competition, the team is embracing the challenge fully because to be the best, you have to play the best.

🏀 Boys Basketball
- The Wiseburn Da Vinci Boys Basketball program kicked off their season with a strong showing, finishing their first week of play 2–1 and securing 3rd place at the St. Monica Tournament. The Wolves demonstrated grit, teamwork, and consistency throughout the week, setting a competitive tone for the season ahead. Tournament standouts included Jake Shimizu and Aidan Ebrahimi, whose steady performances helped anchor the team on both ends of the court. Jameson Johnson earned All-Tournament honors, showcasing leadership, energy, and playmaking that fueled the Wolves’ success. The Varsity team now shifts focus to hosting their 5th Annual Holiday Classic this week at the WDV gym an exciting opportunity to compete at home and continue building momentum early in the season.
