Saya Wai is the Assistant Principal at Da Vinci Science. She joined DV Science as a teacher in 2015, and previously served as Dean of Students and as the Biomedical Engineering Pathway Coordinator where she taught two Project Lead the Way courses — Principles of Biomedical Science (PBS) and Medical Interventions (MI). She also served as the faculty advisor for the Biomedical Association. Saya was originally born and raised in Indiana, moved to California to earn a B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley, and later, an M.A. in Teaching from USC.
