Deepti joined the Da Vinci Communications family in 2016 to launch the Marketing Pathway, and previously also taught 12th grade English. As part of her role, she also advises the school’s DECA chapter to help prepare students for careers in marketing, business, and entrepreneurship. She feels privileged to be part of such a fun, collaborative teaching team that is committed to excellence in every student. Her goal is to help her students draw enduring connections between business, the media, their lives, and the world around them, equip them with the tools they need to make their voices heard, and to be compassionate leaders in college and beyond.
Before DVC, Deepti worked for a public relations firm in Los Angeles for several years, and spent a year in Mumbai, India with International Justice Mission, a nonprofit that assists human trafficking survivors. Previously, she worked with the Human Rights Watch Student Task Force, mentoring high school students to become advocates for human rights in their schools and communities.
Deepti holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA (Go Bruins!) in Global Studies and French, received her teaching credential from CSU Northridge, and completed her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from CSU Sacramento. When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her running somewhere in the South Bay, exploring a new hiking trail with her husband and her goldendoodle, engaging in deep conversations with friends over coffee, or curled up with a good book.
