Artia Thomas is a native Los Angeleno, raised in the View Park area. After high school, Mrs. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Shortly after working within the public relations industry, she was compelled to do more. Her passion and interests led her to teaching and building relationships throughout her community. She later earned Master Degrees in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and in School Counseling from Loyola Marymount University. Go Lions! Although Mrs. Thomas has held various positions in education and mental health, her favorite is supporting Da Vinci Communications students as a high school counselor! It’s important to her that students are given a toolbox of skills to accompany their natural strengths to ensure they are knowledgeable, self-aware and feel supported throughout their high school journey. When she’s not working, you can find her traveling, re-reading her favorite Maya Angelou book, spending time with her family, or eating delicious treats at Disneyland.
