On June 30, 2015, Governor Brown signed into law, SB 277, which eliminates the personal and religious belief exemptions for vaccinations.
Starting January 1, 2016, Personal Beliefs Exemptions will no longer be an option for the vaccines that are currently required for entry into school or child care in California.
California law requires children to be immunized. Children are exempt from immunization requirements only if a parent or guardian submits a written statement from a licensed physician (M.D. or D.O.).
These requirements can be complicated and we encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions. If you have any questions about this information contained herein or the immunization requirements generally, please contact Lynne Yoon at Da Vinci Innovation Academy, 13500 Aviation Blvd., Hawthorne, CA 90250, or at email@example.com.
